From a humble beginning in a single schoolroom to a worldwide educational movement, English Olympiad Global has grown into a premier platform devoted to nurturing the global leaders of tomorrow. Today we are breaking borders — carrying modern education, advanced skill-building, and international communication to students across the world. Guided by a bold vision to leave no country behind, we are driving activities in 195 countries, uniting young minds as we prepare for the highly anticipated Grand Finale 2026.
Our story began not with a competition, but with compassion. In 2007 we founded the World Orphans Center (WOC) to give charitable work a home, eventually becoming the organizing force behind World Orphans Day on 20 April. As our shelter initiatives and international volunteer network grew, we felt how deeply the world needed one shared language of connection. What started as a small local Spelling Bee in December 2011 soon outgrew its walls — and in February 2012 the English Olympiad was officially framed to nurture exactly that: a bridge between young hearts and minds across the globe.
What began as an idea has blossomed into a global phenomenon. We have expanded our active operations to more than 103 countries and are now reaching out to all 195 countries on Earth — because our motto is simple: no country left from the English Olympiad touch. Along the way we have awarded over 175,000 extracurricular certificates, strengthening students' journeys toward higher education abroad, while our alumni now thrive and carry our mission forward from top institutions across the USA, UK, Canada, Japan, Hungary, China, and throughout Europe.
True leadership looks beyond the present. We ask not only what students need today, but what the world will demand a hundred years from now. Embracing the accelerating pace of technology, English Olympiad has proactively championed Quantum Education and Quantum Computing. Through our English Olympiad 2025 magazine — circulated in 3,000 copies — we helped turn the attention of global education ministries toward the future of learning, quantum technology, and next-generation problem-solving.
Our purpose is to raise a generation equipped not merely with language skills, but with the whole-hearted abilities it takes to lead on a global stage. We prepare our students through a modern, technology-driven approach centred on learning by doing — shaping confident speakers, capable presenters, and generous teammates who can connect across cultures and dissolve every language barrier.
